It was still hard to think. Just thinking about their pale faces when they just lay on their beds...
No, must think something else. Anything but that.
It has been three weeks from the car accident where Ethel and Nico were. They are still alive, but not awake. Doctors said that it wasn't sure if they ever wake up.
Saeran squeeze glass between his hands while thinking that. He didn't really focus what he did and almost broke the glass between his hands. It has been just four months when Saeyoung and Nico saved Saeran and Ethel from Mint Eye. Surprisingly Ethel and Nico have been and were friends before all that, from 6th grade and they even lived in the same house. When Saeran kidnapped Ethel about week before making Nico to join RFA, Nico went almost crazy. Saeran felt still guilty about everything he did even though he didn't say it out loud. And three weeks ago Ethel and Nico were in car accident.
Girls were in bus when it happened. Some truck drove towards that bus and after that, including Nico and Ethel, five people have been in coma.
"Saeran, watch your hands, the glass is almost broken"
Saeran looked over his shoulder and saw his twin. His brother was as bad as Saeran, what meant that they barely ate, slept or did anything for themself. Saeran didn't remember what the time was most of the time and Saeyoung barely remembered take showers.
All in all, their state was horrible. Whole RFA including Rika, who was guilty like Saeran about what she did, tried to cheer them up. Twins came chat only like once in four day so it was difficult to be there same time as them, but they leaved messages every day, usually more than one or two.
Saeran realized that he haven't answered to his brother or loosen his grip from the glass. He stood up and put the glass to sink. They haven't really done any work at home, but the sink was almost empty. Saeyoung came to sat at the table and Saeran sat next to him.
"I'm going to the hospital again. Do you want to come along?"
Saeran nodded. They visited the hospital every day. Saeyoung was there always as long as he could and Saeran too, most of the time.
"I thought so. I grab the keys and then we can go"
Girls were so pale. They have those tubings so they wouldn't die, but situtation was going to look hopeless.
Saeran looked his brother between girls beds. He looked at Nico's face.
Nico... Saeran came to know her fairly well, 'cause she is his brother's girlfrind. It was like miracle. Nico was big reason how Saeyoung even came to knew about his brother's state back then. Together they rescued both, him and Ethel. Nico was often in Saeyoung's house where Saeran lives too. She was bright and one of those people who understands Saeyoung's humor and jokes. She talked fast, have always something to think and tell and never let anyone said something bad about Saeyoung, Saeran or Ethel.
Ethel, she was like Nico and then she was totally different. Saeran had loved that girl from the moment he kidnapped her. She was amazing too and was totally like an angel in Saeran's eyes. Both girls drew much and both were extremely talented too. It was always wonderful to watch Ethel draw, saw her smile when she finally got eyes matching. Ethel loved singing too and Saeran had very hard time to think anything more beautiful than her singing. Her smile could bright the whole room in Saeran's life. When she talked, it started to feel that they were only ones in whole world and Saeran had absolutely impossible times to focus when Ethel hugged him. Girl's blush was also almost too cute to eyes. She often scolted people who said something about twins or Nico, and even when she was annoyed, she looked like an angel.
It took couple months Saeran to realize he was in love. Actually he started realize it after hearing Saeyoung narrate Nico in his eyes. And even after that, it took almost awfully long Saeran to realize his feelings, Ethel had just came into his life without any warning, and then she sneaked into his heart too fast him to realize.
Saeran watched his brother muttering to himself something while looking at Nico's deadly paled face. Ethel's face was just as pale, but Saeran thought that she was beautiful still.
That was how their days came and went. They visited hospital and kept themself alive.
When nurse came to tell that they had to leave, they gave one last look to girls' faces and leaved.
Couple days after that, when it was almost night, phone rang. Saeyoung picked up, turned speaker on when he saw it was from hospital and answered.
"Saeyoung Choi"
"From hospital, and we have news about girls. They started moving and if you just want, you can visit now. They told us to call the-"
"We are coming!"
Two minutes later they were ready to leave.
"Girls started moving little, it's not much, but things look much better now" doctor said when boys came into the hospital room. And boys could saw it, Nico and Ethel moved their bodies, almost too little to see, but still.
"This can mean that they wake up in any minute or then it takes weeks, we can't be sure" doctor continued, but Saeran could barely heard. There was hope...!
"Is it possible to wait here?" Saeyoung asked.
"You can wait to the morning and if girls haven't wake up, you need to came again at visiting time"
After that nobody said anything, except couple nurses who made sure that everything worked right at their bodies all the time. This was good news, since no one of the victims hadn't moved until now.
When Saeran checked the clock, he was shocked. 3.15 am?
Saeyoung next to him hasn't slept either. Those two and doctor have just wait, and about couple hours ago other victims started moving and one or two other had come to wait too.
Stress was almost too much to take. Saeran become thinking, that what if they wouldn't wake up? If he never told about his feelings and now Ethel would never get to know?
When it was about 5.46 am, one of the other coma patients opened his eyes. Five years old boy. One woman, probably his mother, started crying. Doctor ordered nurses make tests right away to check what was his state. About half hour later other boy, about 18, opened his eye too and almost right after he, about 45 years old woman too. They went to the check too.
When it was 7.32 am, Nico opened her eyes. Saeyoung started crying and minute after Nico, Ethel opened her eyes too. Now Saeran almost started crying too, so relieved he was.
After hour patient waiting doctor finally came and told that all five were okay and could return home, except Ethel, who needed bit more time, about week.
When Saeyoung heard that, he smiled first time in three and half week and so did Saeran.
"Now you two eat, or I won't let you meet Ethel!"
Nico was keeping company to twins. She almost fainted when she saw the house. It took nearly six hours to clean everything up and make twins look like humans again. Now she sleeped on the sofa and watched that they ate properly after weeks lacking. Saeran sighed and took new bite from his sandwich. She also made food but didn't have enough strenght to make anything hard.
"They let Ethel finally free today, you have to look like humans!"
"Said who?" Saeyoung muttered, but Nico heard immadiately. Glare trend towards Saeyoung who started eating again immediately.
"You should have seen yourself back then, I haven't ever seen something so, so, well, so nearly-living like!"
"You were the one who barely lived, so you should eat instead me!"
Saeran watched bread-fight between those two. It was good that they were okay. And now Ethel would return...!
Don't be silly, Saeran thought. I'm sure she doesn't even like you. But, well, since my brother has a girlfriend, miracles happen.
Saeran couldn't stop smiling while thinking of Ethel and watching Saeyoung taking tomatoes of from his hair while Nico tried to feed him with the bread what didn't have tomatoes in it anymore.
